Author Charles O'Rear's life and subsequent publications spawned
from a National Geographic assignment that sent him to Napa
almost thirty years ago.
Since then, Mr. O'Rear has developed (pardon the pun) the world's
largest collection of wine photography. A selection of which
can be found in the three wine books that he has published.
His book on Chardonnay provides an intimate tour of the wine’s
production, its character, and the places of its origin. The
book's creation took him on a journey from France, where the
wine began, to the fields of California, where it has flourished
into one of the world’s favorite and most versatile wines.
