Small Bites, Big Taste
July 2009
Small Bites Big Taste is an eclectic culinary collection of foods that possess the common threads of being petite and flavor packed.
This is chef Rainer Zinngrebe's second cookbook and within its pages we can see how the chef's travels have lead to his dazzling food style developing. In his first book Beyond Fusion, we saw predominantly Asian influenced dishes but after several years living in Mexico and working as an Executive Chef in Cancun his Asian style has become influenced by the Latin - think Tuna Sashimi with Mojito Sauce and Serrano Chilies, and some Latin recipes influenced by Asian - think Prawn Curry Empanadas with Coriander Chimichurri.
Many chefs fall short of pulling off a fused style of food, but Rainer pulls together a cohesive collection of recipes that make sense.
If you are a chef looking for inspiration, Rainer's work will stand you in good stead. Small Bites Big Taste if a perfect book when you need a little help with a nice appetizer and would be awesome for nurturing some super cute ideas for V.I.P client parties and special events.
Definitely a great book to buy.
