In an age when cooking schools cost big bucks, I thought this was great... High school seniors interested in Culinary now have an exciting opportunity to take free culinary workshops at The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of California – San Francisco.
The Culinary Passport Program consists of 4 four-hour, hands-on workshops:
November 7: Knife Skills
December 5: Moist Heat Cooking Methods
January 9: Dry Heat Cooking Methods
February 6: Prep for the Best Teen Chef Scholarship Competition
Classes are free for all High School Seniors. The school will provide the chef coat, knives, and textbook.
A great opportunity for students who might be interested in pursuing a career in the culinary arts to get a taste of what it’s like in the kitchen before they start to shell out the beans!
