South Beach Wine and Food Festival Presented by Food & Wine Magazine Friday, February 28 -- Sunday, March 2, 2003. International foodies who's palatte's are in the know, should mark their calendar's for the second annual South Beach Wine & Food Festival which will hit the streets of South Beach, Florida February 28-March 2, 2003. The Food & Wine magazine sponsored weekend-long festival will include wine and food tastings, star studded dinners with celebrity chefs as Daniel Boulud, Rocco DiSpirito, Bobby Flay, Eric Ripert, Tom Colicchio, Todd English, Gordon Ramsey, Marcus Samuelsson, Ming Tsai, among others and seminars led by prominent wine, spirits, and culinary professionals. , the Head Chef/Director at Read´s Mallorca (Spain) has been awarded his first Michelin Star. News came in from a source in Paris and this was confirmed a few agonising hours later. All the team at Read´s including owners Vivian and Iris Read have been celebrating since they found out. Taste of Vail: Winter Mountaintop Indulgence
Can't wait until summer for the debut of the annual food and wine festivals? Then Vail is your answer. More than 35 of Vail's finest restaurants and over 55 premier wineries will gather together to celebrate the 13th Annual Taste of Vail, April 9-12, 2003. Held at the newly refurbished Vail Marriott Mountain Resort & Spa, this charity event, which benefits local Vail Valley charities, enables aficionados to indulge their senses with an array of food and wine tastings, including the highly popular Après Ski Party and Mountaintop Picnic. Other unique events include the Umami "Sixth Sense" wine seminar, special winemaker dinners and the grand finale --The Midnight Grand Tasting, Auction and Dance.

New this year and not-to-be missed events include the Local Chef's Showcase & Wine Auction, featuring four of Vail's preeminent chefs and restaurants, high atop Vail Mountain at the award winning Game Creek Club, April 9.
